Herb Valley Omega 3 Fish Oil 1,000mg Enteric Coated 100 Capsules
Fish Oils are rich in Omega 3 Essential Fatty acids. The body cannot manufacture Omega-3 fatty acids and must obtain them from food sources. The most important types of Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil are Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). The body needs Eicosapentaenoic acid to produce prostaglandins, which are hormone-like substances that help to protect the heart and cell membranes. Docosahexaenoic acid is required for the normal development of the brain, the eyes, and the reproductive system. The fish oil is a Natural Pure Tri-glyceride, purified, winterised (emulsified so that it does not congeal when cold) and deodorised fatty oil obtained from fish of the families Clupeidae herrings, shads, sardines, menhadens. These Herb Valley fish oil capsules are enterically coated to ensure that the capsule passes through the stomach before dissolving. This reduces any aftertaste and reflux action.
