Herb Valley Slippery Elm Bark Powder 500mg 50 Tablets Description Herb Valley Slippery Elm tablets are derived from the inner bark of Ulmus rubra plant. Slippery Elm is considered one of the most valuable remedies in herbal practice; the abundant mucilage it contains has exceptional soothing qualities for the digestive tract. The inner bark chiefly contains mucilage. Mucilages are hydrophilic structures, capable of trapping water, which causes them to swell in size and develop a gel-like consistency. The gels tend to have soothing properties and can be broken down by bowel flora when taken internally.1 Taken as a tablet it is a convenient way to provide relief from the symptoms associated with indigestion, acid reflux, heartburn, dyspepsia, flatulence and diarrhoea. Therapeutic Benefits Traditionally used to: · Aid digestion · Relief of indigestion and heartburn · Relief of diarrhoea Active Ingredients (per tablet): Ulmus rubra (Slippery Elm) 500mg Stem Bark Inner Powder Non Active Ingredients · Calcium hydrogen phosphate · Cellulose microcrystalline · Silica colloidal anhydrous · Povidone
